About Back on Track

About Simone

Hi, my name is Simone, and I am the founder of Back on Track.
I love nothing more than camping in the woods and enjoying a morning coffee under the tree canopy.

I also specialise in helping people getting back into healthy routines, back to running and back to living life with more connection to nature and to themselves.
I had my own athletics career for over 10 years in former East Germany as a sprint hurdler.
Following that and many years of neglecting my own body’s needs and health, the London Olympics inspired me to get ‘back on track’. I picked up running and became a Surrey Hills fitness, Athletics & Running coach.
I now have over a decade of qualified experience and have helped many people in getting back to finding a sustainable and enjoyable fitness routine.

My Motto: The better you move, the more you’ll enjoy it and the more confidence you’ll get in progressing to become stronger.

About Back on Track

Back on Track originally started during my Athletics coaching years but has quickly evolved into a fitness group responding to the needs of everyone that wanted to get back into running and fitness.
We now offer fitness group classes, running groups for all abilities, and hiking groups in the Surrey hills.
We understand that getting back into a routine takes guts, overcoming your own doubts and pushing past bad experience of failure or rollercoaster attempts.
Our approach is inclusive, we nudge you into progression, keep your exercise environment achievable and enjoyable.
Setting you achievable goals and building a support system around you is vital for you to achieve those goals.

Why the focus on seasons?
Perhaps you can relate; many of us feel exhausted and overstimulated – trying to do too many things for too long, keeping up the chronic summer and not letting our body recover at the right time. Having lived in sync with the seasons and seen the difference in my energy and body (as coach you need a lot of energy!), I can help you to exercise sustainably and nurture your body to achieve positive long-term results.

With thanks to Julie Skelton Photography for compiling the video.
